Airbus A380
AXON Aviation Group
Description
The Airbus A380 is the biggest commercial airplane in the world when it comes to how many passengers it can carry. It's the only plane with a full upper deck. Airbus started thinking about a really big plane back in 1988, but they didn't start the A380 project until 2000. It first flew in April 2005 and started flying for Singapore Airlines in October 2007. The A380 can carry over 850 passengers if it's set up with just one class, or up to 560 passengers if it's set up with a more common 3-cabin layout. Because the A380 has so much space, airlines have been able to add fancy features like double beds (Singapore Airlines Suites Class), showers (Emirates and Etihad), and bars. Emirates has the most A380s, with 75 in use and 65 on order. Other airlines that use A380s include Singapore Airlines, QANTAS, and Asiana.
