Description
The Boeing 737-700 is the smallest of Boeing's 'Next Generation' single-aisle aircraft that are currently being made. It can seat up to 149 people in an all-economy setup. It was based on Boeing's earlier 737-300 and was first ordered by Southwest in 1993. It has similar features to the previous 737 models but has improvements in the engines, fuel capacity, and wings. Its range and capacity allow it to compete with the Airbus A319 on short- and medium-distance routes. It is also available as a private business jet (BBJ1) and in an all-business class configuration with airlines like ANA and Scandinavian. The main airlines that use the standard passenger version are Southwest and WestJet.
