This is a 1943 Taylorcraft L-2M / DCO-65 Grasshopper. It won the Best L Bird award at Oshkosh in 2011. The plane has a total airframe time of 2200 hours, with a complete restoration done in 2011. The engine has 271 hours since major overhaul. The propeller also has 271 hours since new. The US Army bought the plane directly from the factory on March 3, 1945, and the seller has the original bill of sale. It is based in Kansas. The rear seat swivels 180 degrees for rearward observation.
