Description
The North American Aviation T-6, known as the AT-6 by the United States Army Air Corps (USAAC) and USAAF, the SNJ by the United States Navy, and the Harvard by British Commonwealth air forces, first flew on April 1, 1935. A total of 15,495 were built and used by 66 countries as a training aircraft, sometimes used in combat. The South African Air Force retired them as late as 1996. This Harvard was assigned to the Royal Canadian Air Force with serial number 20365. Canadian Car & Foundry built 555 Harvard’s.
