Description
The DR107 One Design is a single-seat plane made for aerobatics. It has a low wing. The plane's body is made of welded steel tubes. The tail is made in a standard way. The body is covered with aluminum sheets from the engine to the cockpit. The rest of the body is covered with fabric. The engine cover is made of fiberglass and can be opened for access. The wing is made of plywood and has a strong main spar made of spruce wood. The wing is attached to the plane's body frame. The ailerons are moved by push rods and have weights for balance. The ailerons also have aerodynamic balance with small surfaces and a special hinge. The tail is braced with steel wires. The elevator has trim tabs and is moved by push rods. The rudder is moved by cables. The landing gear is made of aluminum alloy and has disk brakes. The tailwheel can be steered and is attached to a steel spring. There are two fuel tanks in front of the cockpit. One is a collector tank for inverted flight, and the other is a main tank. A Lycoming 0-360-A1A engine is used. It has a fuel injection system and an oil system for inverted flight. A Sensenich fixed pitch propeller is used.
