Description
Additional Remarks Maintenance and History. Following a taxi incident at Rougham Airfield in October 2019 involving damage to the left wing tip and rear spar area, G-BOIV underwent an extensive rebuild and refurbishment by The Light Aircraft Company at Little Snoring Airfield. The aircraft was completely dismantled and rebuilt using inspected replacement wings from a Cessna FRA150M, with NDT inspection of all attachment points confirming no faults. The replacement wings were stripped, etch primed, and professionally refinished in white, with new flap tracks fitted and original internal components transferred across. During the rebuild, the fuselage was inspected and minor corrosion around the tail surfaces, doors, and cowling was professionally treated and refinished. The aircraft was then reassembled using new wing attachment bolts and rigged in accordance with the maintenance manual. Upgrades and Refurbishment. Additional works completed during the refurbishment included: New aileron cables. New flap cable. New breather hoses. New wing tips. All new windows. Serviced compass with new deviation card. Upgraded switches. New instrument filters. New RG25XC battery. LED landing light upgrade. The aircraft also benefited from the installation of a zero-time overhauled Continental O-200-A engine by Norvic Aero Engines, together with a brand new Sensenich propeller, new engine mounts, new flexible hoses, and a new air filter element. The aircraft was fully reweighed and underwent annual inspection and ARC review. All applicable FAA, EASA, and Cessna continued airworthiness requirements were complied with as part of the rebuild process. With its recent refurbishment, strong maintenance status, and excellent presentation, this aircraft offers a practical and dependable ownership opportunity. The combination of low engine hours, modern usability, and documented history makes it an excellent choice for pilots seeking a capable and well-maintained Cessna 150M.
