SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Beechcraft 77 Skipper · Maintenance Manual
Overview
This document is a Schedule of Airworthiness Directives for the Beechcraft 77 Skipper series aeroplanes, issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia. It outlines specific maintenance requirements related to the wing structure of the aircraft, including inspection and bolt replacement protocols. The directives are crucial for ensuring the airworthiness and safety of the aircraft, particularly concerning the fatigue life limitations of the wing structure. Compliance with these directives is mandatory for all models of the Beechcraft 77 Skipper, and they must be adhered to within specified timeframes to maintain operational safety.
- All models of the Beechcraft 77 Skipper are subject to these directives.
- Wing structure inspection and bolt replacement must occur by 7000 hours of service.
- Retirement of the wing and carry-through structure is required by 12000 hours of service.
- The wing's safe fatigue life is established at 12000 hours based on manufacturer testing.
- Compliance with these directives is mandatory for maintaining airworthiness.

Applicability
The directives apply to all models of the Beechcraft 77 Skipper series aeroplanes, ensuring that all aircraft within this category are subject to the same maintenance requirements.
Requirement
The document specifies two main requirements: first, to carry out a wing structure inspection and replace certain bolts as detailed in Section 57-10-00 of the Beechcraft Skipper 77 Maintenance Manual. Second, it mandates the retirement of the wing and carry-through structure from service as outlined in Section 4-00-00 of the same manual.
Compliance Timelines
Compliance with the directives is time-sensitive. The wing structure inspection and bolt replacement must be completed upon or before the aircraft reaches 7000 hours of time in service. Additionally, the retirement of the wing and carry-through structure must occur upon or before reaching 12000 hours of time in service.
Background
The document provides background information indicating that the safe fatigue life of the wing has been determined to be 12000 hours based on full-scale fatigue testing conducted by the manufacturer. This life expectancy is contingent upon the timely replacement of specific bolts and successful inspection results at the 7000-hour mark.

Safety notes
- Failure to comply with the inspection and replacement requirements may compromise aircraft safety.
- Timely retirement of the wing structure is critical to prevent structural failure.
