Weight Limitations

The maximum takeoff weight for the Cessna 205 is 2,800 lbs. This includes the weight of the aircraft, passengers, cargo, and fuel. It is essential to ensure that the total weight does not exceed this limit to maintain safe flight operations.

Center of Gravity (CG) Limits

The center of gravity limits for the Cessna 205 are between 34.0 inches and 39.0 inches from the datum. It is important to calculate the CG accurately to ensure stability and control during flight.

Loading Procedures

Before flight, pilots must calculate the weight and balance by considering the weight of passengers, baggage, and fuel. The document provides a sample loading chart to assist in these calculations.

Fuel Capacity

The Cessna 205 has a total fuel capacity of 60 gallons, which is critical for determining weight and balance during flight planning.

Weight and Balance Calculation Example

An example calculation is provided to illustrate how to determine the total weight and CG based on different loading scenarios. This helps pilots understand the practical application of the weight and balance principles.

Safety notes

  • Exceeding weight limits can lead to compromised aircraft performance.
  • Improper CG can affect aircraft stability and control.
