PROCEDURES: Normal Operating Procedures a. Best flight characteristics and trim are obtained with the "COARSE TRIM" control in "NOSE UP" at forward loading and "NOSE DOWN" at rearward load- ings. "COARSE TRIM SELECTOR" The COARSE TRIM selector is installed in order to extend the trim range by providing an increased range of NOSE DOWN trim. The normal position of the selector is NOSE UP, but the use of the NOSE DOWN setting will improve trim settings when the airplane is loaded tail heavy (in excess of 40 lbs. of baggage). CHANGE TRIM SELECTOR SLOWLY AT SPEEDS IN EXCESS OF 107 MPH TIAS PERFORMANCE The following performance figures were obtained during Civil Aeronautics Administration type tests and may be realized under conditions indicated with the airplane and engine in good condition and with average piloting technique. All performance is given for 850 lbs. weight, with no wind on level paved runways. In using the following data, allowance for actual conditions must be made.
