Applicable Models

The document specifies that the performance conversions apply to the Piper PA-46-350P Mirage (serial numbers 4622001 to 4622200, and 4636001 and later) and the PA-46R-350T Matrix.

Specifications

The new propeller system features an 80-inch diameter, 3-bladed lightweight aluminum hub propeller with ASC-II™ Advanced Structural Composite blades. It has a time between overhaul (TBO) of 2400 hours or 6 years and weighs 64.0 pounds including the spinner.

Installation Requirements

Approximately 40 hours of labor are required for the installation of the STC kit with de-ice, or about 30 hours if done during an annual inspection. Specific wire types and quantities are also required for installation.

Advantages of the New Propeller

The new propeller offers improved cruise speed, better take-off and climb performance, reduced noise, and a longer TBO compared to the original 2-blade propeller.

Notes on Installation

The installation assumes that the original propeller was a Hartzell HC-I2YR-1BF/F8074K or HC-I3YR-1E/7890K. If a different propeller was installed, the aircraft must be returned to its original configuration before proceeding with the new installation.

Safety notes

  • Auxiliary cabin heat is inoperative when propeller heat is turned on.
