Overview

This Service Bulletin (SB) 1405A from Piper Aircraft addresses a mandatory fuselage skin rivet inspection for several models, including the Piper Pilot 100i. The bulletin supersedes a previous version and corrects serial numbers for affected aircraft. It outlines the compliance requirements, which must be completed during the next scheduled maintenance event, not exceeding 100 hours of service. The purpose of the bulletin is to ensure that all rivets at Fuselage Station 156.00 are present, as missing rivets could compromise the aircraft's structural integrity. Detailed inspection and installation instructions are provided, along with necessary materials and compliance documentation.

  • Compliance is mandatory for affected aircraft models, including the Piper Pilot 100i.
  • Inspection must be completed during the next scheduled maintenance, not exceeding 100 hours of service.
