General
The ROB-001 Universal Mount is a steel tube structure that attaches to the helicopter at the landing gear cross tube. It consists of two longitudinal tubes and two lateral tubes, which can be rigged on either side of the aircraft. Installation should follow the Tyler Installation Manual, R44 INST-001 Rev B, dated 11/28/07 or later.
Limitations
The maximum allowable speed (VNE) with the Universal Mount installed is 115 KIAS or the placard speed, whichever is lower. The camera package must not exceed a frontal area of 2.0 sq. ft. and a weight of 120 lbs (54.4 kg). The attachment point is at fuselage station 96.6 in (245.36 cm) long and ±44.2 in (112.26 cm) laterally. Additional cameras or sensors not listed may require minor change approval.
Normal Procedures
Before flight, check the mount and attachment for condition and security, as well as electrical cords and connections. The installation or removal of the mount system can be performed by a Tyler Camera Systems trained technician, pilot, or mechanic, and must be documented according to FAR 43.9.
Performance Data
The installation of the mount does not affect hover performance but reduces climb performance by 150 feet per minute.

II. Limitations 1. VNE = 115 KIAS or placard speeds, which ever is lower, when the Universal Mount is installed. 2. The training would be in accordance with EASA/JAR 145 or by an appropriate maintenance organization in accordance with applicable national requirements. V. Performance Data 1. Hover performance not affected. 2. Reduce climb performance by 150 feet per minute with the mount and attachment installed.
