• The SVS provides a synthetic terrain view within approximately 30 degrees left and 35 degrees right of the aircraft heading.
• Use of the SVS alone for navigation or aircraft control is prohibited; primary flight instruments must be referenced.
• The Flight Path Marker (FPM) indicates the current lateral and vertical path of the aircraft and is displayed when synthetic terrain is selected.
• The Pathway display assists in awareness of the programmed flight path but is not intended for primary navigation.
• Obstacles and terrain alerts are highlighted on the SVS display if detected by the G1000 system.
