Collins Flight Dynamics HUD Combiner Unit – For Boeing 727

This combiner unit is from a Boeing 727. It's the real deal and a great piece for experienced flight sim builders or collectors. These were originally installed on the 727 when they received avionics upgrades as a supplemental-type certificate for CAT III operations. A similar version was also used on the 737 and others. This unit is #2056, manufactured May 15, 1997. The only other unit I could find online shows a date of October 15, 1997 and is #2063 (see last photo). That is 7 units made across 5 months, which suggests about 17 units produced per year. Combiner stowing is functional. All wiring and connections are present. Mounting hardware is present. Glass is great with only a few very light surface scratches visible under bright. Completely unnoticeable to me in normal conditions. Very good condition overall aside from following issues: • Some splitting in the molded silicone bumpers • Seems like glue holding the silicone bumpers onto the metal failed in a few spots (silicone is known for adhesion issues but can be reglued with specific silicone adhesive. Leaving that to next owner.) • Some of the silicone grip is missing from the tip of the stowing lever handle • The fabric glass cover has a few imperfections where some snagging has occurred and there's a few holes (fibers pulled out by something) Note: The pictures of the other unit I saw online have some silicone pieces missing entirely. This one is complete, despite these issues. Will try to answer any questions you might have.
