Carburetor heat box has been repaired using McFarlane kit, part number CCH–KT-2, including new shaft and bearing housings. no cracks, no holes, no damage, no welding. Heat intake flange has been sealed but it is tight and firm. Some factory sealant remains around the base of the carburetor attachment point. (see pictures.) interior baffle was in serviceable shape and was not replaced. No 8130. Maintenance Performed: Disassembled carburetor heat box assembly to facilitate internal repairs. Removed worn flap shaft, and bearings. Installed new flap shaft and bearings using McFarlane Repair Kit P/N: CCH-KT-2. Work performed in accordance with AC 43.13-1B, Chapter 6, utilizing standard methods, techniques, and practices for hardware replacement and security. Inspected assembly for proper clearance and smooth operation. I certify that this component has been repaired and inspected in accordance with current federal aviation regulations and is approved for return to service. A&P - I will include a logbook entry upon request.
