The KX-155 also provides reception of navigation signals within the frequency range of 108.00MHz to 117.95 MHz (200 Channels). The KX-155 has an optional reception of glideslope signals within the frequency range of 329.15 MHz to 335.00 MHz in 150 kHz increments (40 Channels). The panel mounted KX-155's connections to the unit are made through one 30 and one 36 pin Molex printed circuit board edge connector and three BNC coax connectors at the rear of the unit. The KX-155 has a high temperature protection system. If the transmitter and modulator circuits become hot enough to potentially damage any components in the transceiver, a protection circuit will automatically reduce the transmitter power consumption and output power. The KX-155 has a bright gas discharge display that shows simultaneous active and standby frequencies for both the NAV and COMM sides. The KX-155 is 2.05 inches high, 10.16 inches long, 6.25 inches wide and weighs 4.75 to 5.50 pounds depending on the version.
