The 406 MHz band carries the encoded digital distress signal to the COSPAS-SARSAT satellite system; 121.5/243 MHz provide the search-and-rescue homing signal. It is the rod antenna used across Artex's 406 MHz ELT line, including the C406-N / C406-NHM and ME406 series.
