No. IAIB 14 - 01 Date: March 1 3 , 2014 Page 1 of 2 Subject: Airt anker Base Frequency Change 2014 Area of Concern: All Aviation Users Discussion: The FAA reviews and engineers all aviation Air - to - Air AM frequencies for all Airt anker Bases each year. Usually, the frequency 123.975 MHz is assigned for this purpose. However, if the frequency is not available at a given location, the FAA will engineer an alternative frequency. Due to engineering restrictions there are several new frequency assignments/changes to the National Airtanker Bases frequencies for fire season 2014 . While most bases retain 123.975 as the RAMP frequency, notable changes are highlighted in red. These changes are effective immediately .
