Bushnell, Florida 33513 Dear Mr. Bensinger: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Kit Evaluation Team (NKET) completed an evaluation of the Nando Groppo TRAIL kit at your facility on August 20, 2014. This kit is defined by the "TRAIL Kit Bill of Materials" dated August 31 , 2015. The team determined that the kit may allow an amateur builder to meet the major portion requirement of title 14, Code of Federal Regulations part 21 , Certification Procedures for Products and Parts,§ 21.191 (g).
We will advise the Aircraft Certification Service's Certification Procedures Branch to add the kit to the Revised Listing of Amateur-Built Aircraft Kits (Kit List) located on the FAA website.
This evaluation does not mean that the TRAIL kit aircraft or Nando Groppo is FAA "certified, certificated, or approved'', and it is inappropriate to represent either as such.
Nando Groppo should notify this office in writing if ownership of the company changes and or if there are changes made to the evaluated kit that may affect its potential to meet the major portion requirement. Failure to notify this office may result in removal of the kit from the Kit List.
