The Employee Close Out and Clearance Procedures (3370.5B) is a public-domain FAA order, republished here as a free chaptered HTML edition with a linked table of contents and the official PDF.
The purpose of FAA Order 3370.5B is to provide policy and procedures for the employee close out and clearance process, governing various aspects such as surrendering government property and settling financial obligations.
This order applies to all FAA employees who are leaving their position, whether due to termination, resignation, retirement, transfer, or extended leave.
If an employee does not complete the clearance process, it is the responsibility of their manager to complete the necessary forms on their behalf within 10 business days after the employee's departure.
The completed clearance form must be submitted by the manager within 10 business days after the employee has left their position.
Failure to provide the requested information may result in the FAA's inability to complete the employee's exit process.
