Illustrate and list the subassemblies and detail parts for the Model 1423 Pilot / Co-Pilot . NOTE: Model 1423 is secured to the floor of the aircraft. TASK 25-14-22-990-822-A01 2. Explanation and Usage of Section A. Assembly Relationship (1) Each subassembly or detail part listed is indented to indicate its relationship to the overall seat assembly and/or major subassembly. Subassemblies and detail parts are listed in general order of disassembly. Item numbers in the part lists are keyed to corresponding item numbers in the accompanying figure. (2) The seat part number is the four-digit model number followed by a dash number which indicates a difference in seat configuration. The subassembly and detail part numbers consist of various lengths followed by dash numbers. NOTE: Government Standard Parts are listed by AN (Army-Navy Standard), NAS (National Aerospace Standard), or MS (Military Standard) numbers. (3) When the Part number is unknown - locate the part on the applicable figure and note its item number. Refer to the accompanying parts list for that figure and locate that item number to find the part number, part nomenclature and quantity used in that assembly or subassembly. (4) When the part number is known - refer to the Numerical Index and find the part number. Note the figure(s) and item number(s) listed for that part number. Refer to the listed figure(s) and accompanying parts list(s) to determine the particular part application(s) and assembly or subassembly of interest. B. Unit per Assembly (1) The UNIT PER ASSY column shows the total number of units required per assembly, per subassembly, and per sub-subassembly as applicable. For bulk items, the letter AR indicates "as required." The letters RF indicate the item is listed for reference purposes. C. Parts Replacement Data 25-14-22 Page 10001 Apr 27/2005 AIRCRAFT INTERIOR PRODUCTS - GOODRICH CORP. (31218) COMPONENT MAINTENANCE MANUAL MODEL 1423 (1) The interchangeability relationship between parts is identified in the NOMENCLATURE column of the parts list. A list of the terms used to show interchangeability and their definition is as follows: TERM PARTS LIST ABBREVIATION DEFINITION Optional OPT This part is fully interchangeable in form, fit and function with other item numbers shown. Superseded SUPSD BY The part is superseded by and is one-way interchangeable with the item number shown (old part number can be used as replacement only where old part was installed). Supersedes SUPSDS The part supersedes and is one way interchangeable with the item number shown (new part number is acceptable replacement for old or new part number). Replaced By REPLD BY The part is replaced and is two-way interchangeable with the item number shown (old part number can replace either old or new part number when removed). Replaces REPLS The part replaces and is two-way interchangeable with the item number shown (new part number is acceptable replacement for old or new part number). Deleted The part, sub-assembly, or component is no longer required in this configuration. D. Item Not Illustrated (1) Items not illustrated are indicated by a dash (-) ahead of the item number in the FIG & ITEM NO. column. E. Abbreviations (1) A list of abbreviated terms used in the nomenclature and unit assy column is given below: AR- AS REQUIRED ASSY- ASSEMBLY BRKDWN- BREAKDOWN BS- BOTH SIDES CMM- COMPONENT MAINTENANCE MANUAL DTL- DETAIL EFF- EFFECTIVITY FIG- FIGURE FS- FAR SIDE HARN- HARNESS HD- HEAD 25-14-22 Page 10002 Apr 27/2005 AIRCRAFT INTERIOR PRODUCTS - GOODRICH CORP. Effectivity Code (1) The Effectivity (EFF CODE) column of the Detailed Parts List shows the difference between two or more similar units or assemblies listed together in the same parts list. Parts not used in all of the units or assemblies bear the code letter or letters for the particular unit or assembly in which the parts are used. When this column is blank, the part is used in all of the units or assemblies listed together. G. Numerical Index (1) All part numbers listed in the parts list appear in the Numerical Index in alpha-numeric order. Each occurrence of a manufacturer or vendor part number references the figure(s) and item number(s) where that part is used and gives the total quantity used at that location. Government and National Aerospace Standard parts reference only the estimated total quantity required per seat assembly. NOTE: An RF in the total required column indicates an end item part number. H. Revision Markup (1) The indicators in the left margin represent the following activity codes: (a) | = Revised or changed material 25-14-22 Page 10003 Apr 27/2005 AIRCRAFT INTERIOR PRODUCTS - GOODRICH CORP. (31218) COMPONENT MAINTENANCE MANUAL MODEL 1423 3. Vendors All part numbers in the "Part Number" column are those of AIP, a government or National Aerospace Standard, or a vendor. Vendor parts used in this parts list are listed by manufactures’s part number and are identified by a five digit code prefixed with the letter V. This code appears in parentheses following the part description in the nomenclature column. Vendor codes are in accordance with the Federal Supply Code for Manufacturers’ cataloging Handbook H-4-1.
