Introduction

The introduction outlines the purpose of the bulletin, which is to enhance the installation of windscreens and windows on Mooney Acclaim Ultra aircraft by adding fasteners. This is intended to fortify the bond between the shell flange and the windscreen or windows.

Windscreen Fastener Installation

This section provides a step-by-step guide for installing fasteners around the windscreen. It includes specific measurements for hole placement, drilling instructions, and cautions against damaging the windscreen during the process. A total of 12 holes are to be drilled, with precise tolerances for hole diameters.

Rear and Door Window Fastener Installation

Similar to the windscreen installation, this section details the procedure for installing fasteners on the rear and door windows. It emphasizes the importance of measuring and marking hole locations accurately and provides instructions for drilling and sealing.

Tools Required

The bulletin lists the tools necessary for the installation, including various drill bits and sealants. Specific part numbers for the tools are provided to ensure that the correct equipment is used.

Compliance and Warranty

The document specifies that compliance with the bulletin is required within 25 flight hours and outlines the warranty terms provided by Mooney International Corporation for labor associated with the installation.

Safety notes

  • Carefully drill all holes to prevent cracking, crazing, chipping, and misalignment.
  • Do not use isopropyl alcohol to clean plexiglass surfaces or attaching hardware.
