Effectivity This Service Bulletin applies to Great Lakes 2T-1A-2 Aircraft, S/N 1214, 1220, and 1221. B. Concurrent Requirements None C. Reason Unapproved detachable front control sticks were installed on the affected aircraft and released to service. The detachable control sticks are approximately 4” shorter than the standard control stick. The shorter length means that passengers flying from the front seat will need to exert more force to control the airplane. D. Description This service bulletin directs owner/operators to replace the detachable front control stick (part number 62293-2) with a replacement front control stick (part number 62293). E. Compliance Performance of this service bulletin is mandatory. Until replacement, flying from the front seat is prohibited. Passengers are still permitted to sit in the front seat. F. Approval The alteration specified for the affected aircraft in this service bulletin has been shown to comply with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and is FAA approved. G. Labor Requirements This service bulletin can be accomplished in approximately 3 manhours. H. Weight and Balance Changes Not affected. I. Electrical Load Data Not affected. J. Refer to the 2T-1A-2 Maintenance Manual as needed. B. Replacement 1. Complete the actions described in Engineering Order: GL-EO-003.
