Memorandum
Date: To: Distribution From: Sharon Kurywchak, Acting Director, Air Traffic Procedures, AJV-8 Subject: Restoration of HTML Files on the FAA Air Traffic Publications Website This memorandum serves as notice that the HTML pages of several directives on the FAA Air Traffic Publications website have been made 508-compliant (universally accessible) and are again available online.
In April of 2015, the non-compliant HTML pages hosted on the Air Traffic Publications website were removed due to the Department of Transportation (DOT) mandate that all public-facing websites be 508-compliant.
Currently, the Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), FAA Order JO 7110.65, Air Traffic Control, and the Notices to Airmen Publication (NTAP) are all available in HTML format.
Our organization tracks searches and document access clicks, and therefore we recognize a strong preference for accessing documents in HTML format, as HTML files are often easier to navigate and are accessible on portable devices. HTML versions of other directives will be made available in the near future as conversion work continues. FAA Order JO 7110.10 is scheduled to complete the 508-compliant HTML conversion later this year, and FAA Order JO 7210.3, FAA Order JO 7400.2, and FAA Order JO 7610.4 are scheduled for conversion in 2020.
