ORDER NG 1050.3C N ext G en Organization Policy William J. Hughes Technical Center Effective Date: 09/20/19 SUBJ: Technical Center Prohibitions on the Disposal of Waste 1. Purpose of This Order. This order establishes prohibitions on the disposal of waste and identifies prohibited improper disposal activities.

2. Audience. This order applies to all employees, tenants, and contractors located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center.

3. Where to Find This Order. You can find this order on the FAA.GOV website under the “Regulations & Policies” tab and select “ Orders & Notices ,” or on the MyFAA Employee website. Use “Tools & Resources” tab and select “ Orders & Notices .” 4. This Order Cancels. Order NG 1050.3B, Prohibitions on the Disposal of Waste, dated December 1, 2013.

5. Explanation of Policy Changes. Changes made for new routing symbols and phone numbers.

6. Body of the Order. To comply with the William J. Hughes Technical Center’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System permit, the following activities are prohibited by all employees, tenants, and contractors located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center: a. Pets – Pets are prohibited, except for disability assistance animals and those used for law enforcement, wildlife management, and security purposes.

b. Littering – The improper disposal of litter and/or trash items is prohibited. This includes items such as cigarette butts, candy wrappers, and convenience food packaging.

c. Waste Disposal – The spilling, dumping, or disposal of any materials other than storm water into the Center’s stormwater collection system is prohibited. This includes vehicle washing or maintenance outside of designated areas d. Wildlife Feeding – The feeding of wildlife is prohibited, excluding confined animals used for academic research.

e. Vegetative Waste – Vegetative waste shall be collected and disposed of properly.

Vegetative waste not removed from the property shall be managed to minimize the impact on stormwater discharge quality.

Distribution: Electronic Initiated By: ANG-E 331 09/20/19 NG 1050.3C f. Refuse Containers and Dumpsters – All dumpsters and refuse containers outdoors or exposed to stormwater shall be covered at all times and shall not spill, dump, or otherwise leak or discharge liquids, semi-liquids or solids from the containers.

g. Illicit Connections – Any connection to the Technical Center’s stormwater collection system without the proper approvals is prohibited. Approvals are obtained through the Technical Center’s Master Planning and Siting Board.

7. Responsibilities. All organizations located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, including contractors are responsible for ensuring adherence to the policies set forth above.

Violations of this order are required to be reported to the Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance Section, ANG-E331 at (609) 485-4388.

8. Authority to Change This Order. FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance Section, ANG-E331 retains authority to maintain this order.

9. Distribution . This order is available only electronically as described in paragraph 3.
