Airbus A320

Description

The Airbus A320 is a plane that started in 1984. It was the first plane to use fly-by-wire controls. It can fly up to 3,300 nautical miles if it has special wingtips called sharklets. This plane is like the Boeing 737-800 and is used for short and medium distance trips. In 2010, Airbus announced a new version called the A320neo. This version has better engines and some small changes to the body and wings, which saves up to 15% on fuel. The A320neo started flying with Lufthansa in 2016. By February 2016, there were over 8,100 orders and 4,168 planes had been delivered. Some of the main companies that use the A320 are China Eastern and China Southern.
