Propeller Specifications
The new propeller, designated MTV-9-D/200-58, features a milled single-piece aluminum hub and scimitar blade design made from lightweight natural composite material. The installed weight of the propeller and spinner is 57.3 lb (26.0 kg). The maximum diameter of the propeller is 200 cm (78.7 inches), while the minimum diameter is 195 cm (76.8 inches). The time between overhaul (TBO) is according to the latest issue of Service Bulletin 1.
STC Kit Contents
The STC kit includes several essential components: one 3-blade constant speed propeller (MTV-9-D/200-58), one full composite spinner (AFRP) P-999-2, an Airplane Flight Manual Supplement (Doc. No. E-2857), Installation Instructions (Doc. No. E-2858), and an Instruction for Continued Airworthiness (Doc. No. E-2859). Additionally, it contains an Operation and Installation Manual (ATA 61-01-24, E-124).
Advantages of the New Propeller
The new propeller offers several advantages, including excellent vibration damping characteristics for nearly vibration-free operation, bonded stainless steel leading edges for enhanced erosion protection, unchanged performance under maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) and International Standard Atmosphere (ISA) conditions, unlimited blade life, repairable blades in case of foreign object damage (FOD), and reduced noise levels both inside and outside the aircraft.
