Inspection Procedure
The inspection procedure involves several steps to ensure proper installation and functionality of the wheel assemblies. First, the aircraft must be properly jacked up. Next, the brake caliper tie bolts and back plate assemblies are removed to facilitate wheel removal. The hubcap, cotter pin, axle nut, and tab washer are then taken off, followed by the removal of the wheel assemblies. The existing grease seal rings are discarded and replaced with new ones supplied in the kit, along with the previously used grease seal felts and snap rings. Finally, the new torque plate assemblies are installed, and the wheel assemblies are reinstalled.
Safety notes
- Improper installation can lead to bearing failure and potential safety hazards.
- Always follow the specified procedures to avoid damage to components.
