INTRODUCTION The subject STC approves replacement of the original approved propeller and spinner models listed in the Cessna A185(E, F) Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS 3A24) with a (P)HC-C3YF-1RF/F8429. A detailed description of propeller construction and function may be found in Hartzell Manual 115N that is supplied with each STC kit. The information contained in these Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) supplements or supersedes the information provided in the aircraft service manuals only in those areas listed. The section numbers of this ICA are organized to align with the Airplane Maintenance Manual. Recommended Time-Between-Overhaul (TBO) limits for the STC propeller may be found in Hartzell Service Letter HC-SL-61-61Y (available at www.hartzellprop.com). Sections 3 through 12 NO CHANGE. Section 13 – Propellers Powerplant System Propeller Refer to Hartzell Propeller Owner’s Manual 115N for information on the function, installation, removal, maintenance, and care of the propeller. The spinner uses an aft bulkhead secured to the propeller hub. A spinner dome, with an integral forward bulkhead that slips over the propeller hub when the dome is installed, attaches to the aft bulkhead by a single row of screws. Refer to Hartzell Manual 127 for maintenance requirements and procedures for the aluminum spinner. Airworthiness Limitations Section NOTE: The Airworthiness Limitations section is FAA approved and specifies maintenance required under 14 CFR §43.16 and §91.403 unless an alternative program has been FAA approved.
