This revision is applicable to aircraft already modified per the initial issuance of this Service Bulletin. FALCON 2000 F2000-401 F2000-25-30 EQUIPMENT/FURNISHINGS PILOT AND COPILOT SEAT INSTALLATION IMPROVEMENT 1. PLANNING INFORMATION A. EFFECTIVITY This Service Bulletin is applicable to FALCON 2000 aircraft with serial numbers 1 through 231 which have already performed their first "C" inspection. B. REASON A Falcon operator reported that during take-off at rotation phase, the copilot seat slid aft. Investigations showed that one locking spring fitted on a seat locking pin was broken and the other one weak. The purpose of this Service Bulletin is to replace the locking springs on both pilot and copilot seats and then, check the correct locking of the seats on all aircraft which have already performed their first "C" inspection. NOTE: The replacement of these springs and the check of the correct locking of the seats will be added in to next revision of the scheduled maintenance program, every "C" inspection. C. DESCRIPTION The operation consists in: • replacing the locking pin springs of each seat, • verifiying the correct locking of the seat after improvement. D. COMPLIANCE If you choose to comply with this Service Bulletin, accomplishment should be performed at the first opportunity but no later than the next "A" inspection. E. APPROVAL The technical content of this document is approved under the authority of DOA nr. EASA.21J.051. F. LABOR Estimated labor-hours: 2 hours per seat. NOTE: These labor-hours only concern the work described in this Service Bulletin and do not include other maintenance work which may be performed on this occasion. G. PRELIMINARY STEPS (1) The aircraft must be in the maintenance configuration (Refer to TASK 20-00-00-910-801). (2) Set the LH pilot seat (L2MG) and the RH pilot seat (R2MG) to the high position, using the LH pilot seat height adjustment switch (L3MG) and the RH pilot seat height adjustment switch (R3MG). (3) Remove the pilot seats (Refer to TASK 25-11-01-900-801 , paragraph "Removal of pilot or copilot seat"). B. REMOVAL Refer to fig. 1 (1) Remove and discard the pin (1). (2) Remove the ring (2). (3) Remove the two nuts (3). (4) Record the position of the spacer (5). (5) Remove the two screws (4). (6) Remove the spacer (5). (7) Remove the front pad (6). (8) Remove the locking pin (7). (9) Remove and discard the spring (8) from the locking pin (7). C. INSTALLATION Refer to fig. 1 (1) Install a new spring (8) on the locking pin (7). (2) Install the locking pin (7). (3) Install the front pad (6). (4) Install the spacer (5) at the position recorded on removal. (5) Install the two screws (4). (6) Install the two nuts (3). (7) Tighten the two nuts (3). (8) Install the ring (2). (9) Install a new pin (1). D. FINAL STEPS (1) Check the seat tracks and the corresponding attachment fittings for condition. CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY LUBRICANT OR GREASE ON THE SEAT TRACK. (3) Install the pilot seats (Refer to TASK 25-11-01-900-801 , paragraph "Installation of pilot or copilot seat"). (4) For A/C 104 and < 102, set the LH pilot seat (15MP) and the RH pilot seat (10MP) to the mid position, using the LH pilot seat height control pushbutton (3MG1) and the RH pilot seat height control pushbutton (3MG2). (5) For A/C ≥ 102, except 104, set the LH pilot seat (L2MG) and the RH pilot seat (R2MG) to the mid position, using the LH pilot seat height adjustment switch (L3MG) and the RH pilot seat height adjustment switch (R3MG). (6) Perform an operational test of the pilot seats (Refer to TASK 25-11-01-900-801 , paragraph
