FALCON 2000 F2000 -407 F2000 -25-34 EQUIPMENT/FURNISHINGS REMOVAL OF THE TIE-DOWN SYSTEM INSTALLED FOR CARGO TRANSPORTATION 1. PLANNING INFORMATION A. EFFECTIVITY This Service Bulletin is applicable to FALCON 2000 aircraft with serial numbers 1 through 231 equipped with golf bag/ski tie-down system. B. REASON The Forward Servicing Compartment (FSC) is the non-pressurized compartment located between frames 26 and 33 on the F2000. The compartment is accessible from a lockable external door located in the lower aft fuselage. An internal review has brought to light the fact that current installation of fixtures in the forward servicing compartment allows customers to install cargo in this compartment which is not certified as a proper cargo compartment. C. DESCRIPTION This operation consists in: • removing the golf bag/ski tie-down system, • installing fasteners on the floor. D. COMPLIANCE Mandatory: • It is anticipated that this Service Bulletin will be rendered mandatory by an EASA Airworthiness Directive. • As prescribed by the Airworthiness Authorities of the country of registration of the aircraft. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS A. PRELIMINARY STEPS (1) The aircraft must be in the maintenance configuration (Refer to TASK 20-00-00-910-801). (2) Open the forward servicing compartment door (FSD). B. PROCEDURE (1) Identify the golf bag/ski tie-down system configuration. NOTE: The illustrations are taken from drawing F2M21006-XXX. They are given as examples. Other configurations exist. (2) Removal of the golf bag/ski tie-down system NOTE: - If inserts are blind thread inserts, it is not necessary to install screws. - If inserts are thru-hole inserts it is necessary to install screws. (a) Configuration 1 (fig. 1) 1 Release the webbing (a-fig. 1). 2 Remove the buckles (b-fig. 1) from the footman loops (c-fig. 1). 3 Remove the webbing (a-fig. 1). 4 Remove the screws (d-fig. 1) from the footman loops (c-fig. 1). 5 Remove the footman loops (c-fig. 1). 6 Install the new screws (P/N: NAS603-14P) and the washers (P/N: NAS1149F0332P) (d-fig. 2) in place of the old screws. 7 Tighten the screws. (b) Configuration 2 (fig. 2) 1 Release the webbing (e-fig. 2). 2 Remove the tie-down straps (f-fig. 2) from the tie-down fittings (h-fig. 2). 3 Remove the webbing (e-fig. 2). 4 Remove the screws (g-fig. 2) from the tie-down fittings (h-fig. 2). 5 Remove the tie-down fittings (h-fig. 2). 6 Install the new screws (P/N: NAS603-14P) and the washers (P/N: NAS1149F0332P) in place of the old screws (g-fig. 2). 7 Tighten the screws. (c) Configuration 3 (fig. 3) 1 Release the webbing (i-fig. 3). 2 Remove the tie-down straps (j-fig. 3) from the tracks (l-fig. 3). 3 Remove the tie-down straps (j-fig. 3) from the tie-down fittings (m-fig. 3). 4 Remove the webbing (i-fig. 3). FALCON 2000 F2000 -407 January 29, 2014 F2000 -25-34 Revision 1 Page 3 / 8 DASSAULT AVIATION Proprietary Data 5 Remove the screws (k-fig. 3) from the tie-down fittings (m-fig. 3). 6 Remove the tie-down fittings (m-fig. 3). 7 Remove the screws (k-fig. 3) from the tracks (l-fig. 3). 8 Remove the tracks (l-fig. 3). 9 Install the new screws (P/N: NAS603-14P) and the washers (P/N: NAS1149F0332P) to replace the fasteners of the tie-down fittings (m-fig. 3) (plate equipped with anchor nut under the floor panel). 10 Tighten the screws. C. FINAL STEPS (1) Close the forward servicing compartment door (FSD). D. DOCUMENTATION
