SERVICE INFORMATION LETTER SIL T-069 Page 1 of 4 DATE: May 24, 2017 SUBJECT: EASA Registration of GMA 350H-Equipped Model 480B Helicopters MODEL: 480B EFFECTIVITY: S/N Equipped with Garmin GMA 350H Audio Panel The Enstrom Model 480B, when equipped with the GMA 350H Audio Panel, is eligible for certification as an EASA registered helicopter; however, EASA has enacted some additional conditions which must be met. This Service Information Letter (SIL) provides the instructions for the modification and documentation of helicopters necessary for EASA registration. MODIFICATION: Helicopters conforming to EASA.IM.R.122 Type Certificate Data Sheet and equipped with the GMA 350H must be modified in accordance with paragraph 1 and paragraph 2. 1. Enstrom 480B GMA 350H Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement 28-AC-073: 1.1.1. Enstrom 28-AC-073 must be carried in the helicopter at all times. 2. Enstrom TH-28/480 Series Maintenance Manual Supplement 5, Avionics: 2.1. Configurations without a GDL 69AH interface include the GMA 350H audio panel unit mounted in the avionics panel of the pedestal and an entertainment (J148) jack located on the copilot side of the pedestal. P/N 4220672-3, 4220672-7, 4220672- 101, and 4220672-105 also include a marker beacon sensitivity toggle switch (MKR SENS) (SW97 and SW93, respectively) remotely located on the lower right side of the circuit breaker panel and a marker beacon antenna. 1.3. Page 9-1, Paragraph1-1.D, is amended as follows: D. Power to the audio panel is provided via the AUDIO PANEL circuit breaker (CB157, 2 A (P/N 4220672-3, P/N 4220672-5, P/N 4220672-105, P/N 4220672-107); CB35, 5 A (P/N 4220672-7, P/N 4220672-9, P/N 4220672-101, P/N 4220672-103)) located on the left side of the circuit breaker panel. 1.4. Page 9-4, Paragraph 4-1-4.C, is amended as follows: C. (G1000H Equipment Option: P/N 4220672-3, P/N 4220672-5, P/N 4220672- 105 or P/N 4220672-107) If the installation is a replacement, perform the post installation checkout in accordance with paragraph 3.8 of the GMA 350/350H Installation Manual (para. 1-2). 1.6. Page 9-5, Paragraph 4-1-4.D, is amended as follows: D.
