This Bulletin is applicable to: o Diaphragm (Scott PN 2844) with manufacturing date stamped on face 3Q86 through and fncluding 2Q89. o New Hydraulic Pressure Units (Scott PN 1248-H and 1260-H) SN 17684 to SN 17964. o Overhauled Hydraulic Pressure Units (Scott PN 1248-H and 1260-H) serviced in 3Q86 through and including 2Q89. B. Reason To replace an existing diaphragm suspected to be defective, with replacement diaphragm. An unknown quanti~. out of the total number of diaphragms released into our product system, from third quarter 1986 through second quarter 1989, fabricated from an elastomeric material which is not compatible with the required MIL-H-5606 hydraulic fluid. When pressure is applied to the brake the diaphragm could rupture causing a loss of aircraft braking. c.
