CAR Section 9 Series P Part | - Design, validation and promulgation of Instrument fight procedure (IFP) in India issued, B. Issue of Air Safety Circular 02/2021 on “Usage of Follow Me vehicle by flight crew during taxi on ground in low visibility condition”: All the aircraft operators are advised to sensitize their fight crew to inform ATC and not 10 hesitate to request for “Follow me vehicle” at any time when they are in doubt about their location or experience difficulty in navigating aircraft on ground. ‘Aerodrome operators and the ANSP are also advised to ensure that "Follow me vehicle” is provided whenever requested by the fight crew. Issue of Safety Bulletin no. 01/2021 on “Precautions while landing on defense airfield and during night.”: Based on an accident, following interim safety recommendations were made by AAIB: 1. During the "Night" time, flight crew should preferably carry out an "Instrument approach" preferring the ILS and if ILS is not available a non- precision (CDFA) approach should be carried out. Visual approach should be given the last proference (except while conducting training flights to build proficiency in visual approach). li.
