(0.8 mm) B. Installation of aileron cable assembly 1) Inspect the interfaces for cleanliness and condition. 2) Inspect the teflon cable--guide, cables and the pulleys for condition -- refer to 20--10--04 and 20--10--05. 3) If pulley assembly (7) has been removed, proceed as follows a) Position rod (43) onto pulley assembly (7) equipped with lever (62). b) Install bolt (41) lubricated with grease (TB 04--004A), washer (61) and nut (60). c) Safety with a new cotter pin (59). d) Position the pulley assembly on the spar. CAUTION : DO NOT INVERT THE TWO CABLES, THE LONGEST ONE IS TO BE INSTALLED ON WING TIP SIDE, WITH L.H. THREADED END IN UPPER SECTION. 4) Coat peg (6) of aileron cable with Mastinox (TB 05--002A). 5) Insert peg (6) into pulley (7), with L.H. threaded cable end positioned in upper section. NOTE : L.H. threaded end is marked by a notch on the hexagonal section. 6) Install cable guard (1) with bolts (3) and (4) and washers (2) and (5). 7) Insert peg (33) coated with Mastinox (TB 05--002A) into pulley (34) with L.H. threaded cable end positioned in lower section. NOTE : L.H. threaded end is marked by a notch on the hexagonal section. 8) Install spoiler mechanism assembly (21) with bolts (28) and (23) and washers (29) and (22). 9) Engage rod (31) into fitting (27). 10) Install bolt (30) lubricated with grease (TB 04--004A), washer (26) and nut (25). 11) Safety with a new cotter pin (24). 12) Position the cables on the two pulleys (15) and install cable guards (12) with bolts (14) and washers (13). 13) Lubricate cable ends (8) and (11) with grease (TB 04--004A). 14) Link aileron cables with the two turnbuckles (10). NOTE : Turnbuckles (10) and cable ends (8) and (11) are L.H. threaded and R.H. threaded ; the L.H. threaded end is marked by a notch on the hexagonal section of cable ends (8) and (11), and by a groove on one end of turnbuckles (10). 15) Immobilize cable ends (8) and (11) while tightening turnbuckles (10) with immobilization tool (32). 16) Screw each turnbuckle by the same number of turns, including the spoiler cables. CAUTION : IF THE STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS DEFINED BY THE MANUFACTURER IN SERVICE LETTER LS 70--010--27 ”FLIGHT CONTROL CABLES” ARE NOT COMPLIED WITH, CHECK THE TENSION OF THE CABLES AFTER THE FIRST FLIGHT FOLLOWING CABLE REPLACEMENT. 17) Check the tension of the cables -- refer to 27--10--00.
