No. IAIB 14-04 Date: September 10, 2014 Page 1 of 2 Subject: Redmond Municipal Airport (Roberts Field - RDM) Runway Closure Area of Concern: All Aviation Users Discussion: Redmond Municipal Airport in Redmond, OR will close Runway 04-22 starting Monday, September 15, 2014 at 0700 (PDT) and will remain closed until further notice. The closures will affect all commercial and private operations. The City of Redmond/Redmond Municipal Airport will authorize the use of the following aircraft types that exceed the weight bearing capacity for Runway 10-28 as published in the current Airport/Facility Directory.

The only Federal Airtankers approved by Redmond Municipal Airport management are: • BAe-146 • RJ-85 • CV-580 Construction crews will be repaving runway 04-22 which is the airport’s primary runway for commercial operations. The current project is comprised of two phases. Phase 1 is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2014 and consists of the following major project items: • Full depth reconstruction of approximately 1,290 feet of Runway 04-22.

• Construction of runway grooving.

• Construction of runway shoulder and runway safety area grading.

Phase 2 is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2015 and will consist of full depth reconstruction of the remaining 5,750 feet of Runway 04-22 and runway shoulder/runway safety area grading. Project construction updates will be available on-line at www.flyrdm.com under the News & Media section.
