No. IA 2011-04 September 12, 2011 Page 1 of 1 Subject: Missoula Airport Closure Area of Concern: All Aviation Users Distribution: All Aviation Users Discussion: Missoula International Airport has issued a reminder that all airport runways will be closed beginning Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 9 A.M. (MDT) and will remain closed until 9 P.M. on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. The closures will affect all commercial and private air travel.

During the closure, construction crews will be repaving the intersection of crosswind runway 7/25 with the airport’s primary commercial service runway 11/29. In addition, construction work will continue on widening taxiway ‘G’ from 40’ to 75’ to meet Airport Design Group’s recommended standard C-IV.

All government aircraft operations will be redirected to other bases. Aircraft with a destination of Missoula should contact the Northern Rockies Coordination Center’s aircraft desk at (406) 329-4880 before departure to identify alternate airports.
