Description
This is a great chance to buy a well-known RENO racer. The plane is very complete, but it was damaged in a hard landing at Reno in 2012. That year, Furias qualified at 467.287 mph. The plane has a long racing history going back to 1985. It was first used by the Royal Australian Navy and brought to the US in the 1970s. The outer wing panels, center section, flaps, landing gear, and engine are damaged. The center section will need to be reskinned and have internal repairs. The fuselage has some damage to the skins and longerons. The ailerons have minor damage. The engine will need to be taken apart because of a prop strike. It does not have a wing fold or tail hook mechanism. The wings can be folded by hand. The propeller blades and hub, Garmin GPS/COM, and transponder are missing. It has an auxiliary hydraulic pump, 500 X 5 tailwheel conversion, 200 channel telemetry system with install sensors, boil off cooling for oil system, inner wing leading edge carbon fiber construction with 28-gallon fuel tanks, F-102 Hydraulic Brakes, High Pressure Oxygen, and Slaved HSI. It also includes spare parts like an exhaust system, accessories, and airframe parts. The aircraft records and manuals, some of the parts to return the fuselage to stock, and an R-4360 engine core disassembled and stored at Anderson Airmotive are also included.
