Date____________ N-Number ___________ Hours ___________ AEROPRAKT A22\A32 ANNUAL INSPECTION CHECKLIST ______ Check and comply with Service Bulletins ENGINE GROUP ______ Change engine oil (Rotax Aero-Shell Sport 4). ______ Install new oil filter (3/4 turn when installing). ______ Remove spinner and check propeller hub for cracks. Check propeller blade pitch. ______ Check prop bolt torque 180 in-lb. (Kiev Prop). Other prop refer to installation instructions. ______ Check prop blades for nicks, splits or other damage. Check spinner for cracks. ______ Clean and re-gap or replace spark plugs. ______ NGK DCPR8E, Stock #4339 gapped to (.023”-.027”), heat sync compound on threads, torqued to 177 in-lbs. ______ Check compression (Engine warm, Throttle open on direct compression.). See Rotax Manual for each method, leak-down or direct compression. #1=_____/__87_ #2=_____/__87_ #3=_____/__87_ #4=_____/__87__ ______ Check ignition leads for security and condition. ______ Check exhaust system for cracks, leaks and security. Check springs and safety wire. ______ Inspect, clean or replace air cleaners. ______ Check throttle linkage for condition and operation. Lubricate throttle cables. ______ Check throttle friction adjustment. ______ Check float bowls for debris and sinking floats. ______ Check choke cables for condition and operation. Lubricate choke cables. ______ Check oil tank and hoses for condition and security. ______ Check engine shock mount assemblies and inspect rubber bushings. Replace if deteriorated. *Pay special attention to rear mounts on A32. SB imminent. ______ Check lord engine mount weldment for cracks and distortion. ______ Check EGT and water temp and other probes and wiring for security and condition. ______ Check all coolant lines and hoses. Replace hoses if deteriorated. Tighten all hose clamps gently. Pay particular attention to the lower rear water pump hose clamp, it is hard to get to and many miss this one. - SB ______ Check radiator for security and condition. ______ Check coolant overflow reservoir for condition and coolant level. ______ Check oil cooler and hoses for security and condition. ______ Check cowling for cracks or damage. ______ Inspect starter and relay posts and voltage regulator for corrosion. ______ Inspect air intake box for cracks, damage, mounting FUSELAGE GROUP ______ Check rudder pedals, cables pulleys and fairleads. Special attention per service alert SB А-22LS-16. ______ Check brake master cylinder for security and condition. ______ Check aileron control system for condition and operation. ______ Check flaperon control system for condition and operation. Extend flaps, check for play. ______ Check elevator control system for condition and operation. ______ Lubricate all rod ends, swivel fittings, bearings and hinge bolts. ______ Check seat for secure attachment. ______ Check door hinges and latches for condition and operation. ______ Check windows and windshield for cracks and security. - SB ______ Check fuel filler cap condition. Check “O” ring seal condition. Lubricate seal w/grease. ______ Check fuel shut off fuel valve(s) for proper operation. ______ Check fuel lines for condition and security. ______ Check or clean/replace fuel filter behind passenger seat as needed. (A32 needs luggage bin tunnel cover removed and the cover over the main gear leg cross member removed, behind the seats in the luggage bin.) ______ Check engine and flight instruments for operation and markings. ______ Check Nav/Strobe, and Landing lights for proper operation. ______ Check instrument panel wiring for condition and security. ______ Check battery posts for corrosion and check for secure battery mounting. ______ Check battery area for evidence of corrosion or acid overflow spillage. ______ Check battery wiring for condition and security. ______ Check radio installation and antennas for condition and security. ______ Check condition of fabric covering and finish. ______ Check fuselage skin for damage, cracks, loose or missing rivets. ______ Check condition of switches, fuse block, and warning lights. ______ Inspect electrical harnesses for damage and chaffing. ______ Check pitot and static system plumbing for security and wear. ______ Check seat frames, upholstery, and safety belts and latches for proper operation, wear and damage. UNDERCARRIAGE GROUP ______ Take weight off of gear legs and check for play at attach fittings. ______ Check gear legs for distortion cracks and damage. ______ Check brake system for fluid leaks and fluid level in reservoir. ______ Check brake pads for wear and discs for scoring. ______ Check tires for wear and inflation (Mains 25 psi, Tundra Tires 20 psi). ______ Check wheel bearings for end play and smooth rotation. ______ Check nose fork and hinge for cracks and damage. Lube hinge. – SB ______ Check nose gear leg for cracks, distortion or damage. ______ Check nose shock absorber for condition and pressure. ______ Take weight off nose wheel and check swivel operation. Remove top nut part way leaving one thread turn engaged, lower strut then clean and grease pivot points with high quality grease. Do not take TOP nut off completely or NGL will fall out. ______ Check all wheel bearings for smooth motion, replace as necessary. ______ Check steering rods for condition and security. ______ Inspect wheel fairings for cracks and damage. ______ Inspect mud guards for damage and loose hardware. EMPENNAGE GROUP ______ Check elevator hinge pins for excessive play, lubricate. ______ Check elevator trim attach bolts for corrosion. Inspect cable and sheath. ______ Check rudder hinge pins for excessive play, lubricate. ______ Check strut hardware for condition and security. ______ Check fabric covering of tail surfaces. ______ Check stabilizer mounting for movement and hardware. ______ Remove nose wheel fork pivot bolt, clean, grease and replace. ______ Inspect stabilizer for fatigue cracks, loose rivets, play in joints.

WING GROUP ______ Check top surface of wing for wrinkles and irregularities that would indicate rib or spar damage. ______ Check wing tips for security and condition. ______ Check rear spar to fuselage bolts and fittings for wear and security. ______ Check lift strut to fuselage bolts for wear and security. ______ Check lift struts for distortion cracks and damage. ______ Check strut to spar bolts. ______ Check left and right aileron hinges and condition of hinge pins, lubricate. ______ Check flaperons hinge brackets for cracks and damage. ______ Check flaperons horns for condition and security. ______ Check wing skins for loose rivets, dents, damage. MISCELLANEOUS ______ Check or replace ELT batteries. Mark Date on ELT for next battery replacement. AmerKing ELT’s have a battery in the ELT remote, Artex does not. ______ MGL Glass Panels replace Back Up Battery CR2032. ______ Check for proper display of airworthiness certificate and registration. ______ Check proper display of “Experimental” or “Light Sport” markings and passenger warning placards. ______ Check transponder certification. ______ Check parachute system, controls and harnesses. ______ Reset maintenance timer for 100 hour, annual, and oil change in avionics panel. 500 HOUR INSPECTION ______ Remove fuel tanks and inspect for leaks and damage, inspect interior of wings. ______ Check condition of control cable pulleys and fairleads. ______ Remove elevator control rod and inspect for wear and damage. ______ Check control surface deflection angles. ______ Check condition of fuel lines and replace as necessary. 2000 HOUR INSPECTION ______ Remove wings and inspect it’s spherical attach bearings for axial and radial play and wing strut attachment brackets for fatigue cracks. ______ Check engine attachment fitting for fatigue cracks.
