INSTALLATION GUIDE REPLACEMENT OF FUEL FILLER CAP WASHER Marsh Brothers Aviation Inc. IG-M19001-1 INTRODUCTION The purpose of these installation instructions is to provide all necessary information required to install a replacement fuel filler cap locking tab washer. The replacement washer is fabricated from a thermoplastic material (ATGF) that does not require any lubrication or grease and offers improved operation of the fuel filler cap locking tab. APPLICABILITY Aircraft applicability per Approved Model List (AML). MATERIALS 1. Parts Required: 2. Tools Required:  Standard aviation tools and consumables. REFERENCES 1. IG-M19001-1 INSTRUCTIONS A. PROCEDURE NOTE PREPARE THE AIRCRAFT FOR MAINTENANCE AND PERFORM ALL WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANUAL PROCEDURES AND STANDARD PRACTICES. 1. Remove fuel filler cap assembly from aircraft. 2. Disassemble the fuel filler cap assembly to gain access to the existing locking tab washer (steel). NOTE FOLLOW ANY MANUFACTURER OR AMM INSTRUCTIONS / PROCEDURES FOR DISSASSEMBLY AND REASSEBLY OF THE FUEL FILLER CAP AS REQUIRED AND AS APPLICABLE. 3. Remove the existing locking tab washer (steel) and replace with the new replacement thermoplastic (ATGF) washer, contained in kit P/N: M-00-1000-(X). 4. Reassemble fuel filler cap in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and AMM instructions / procedures as applicable. 5. Perform all adjustments of the fuel filler cap required to meet the fuel cap manufacturer’s and the aircraft manufacturer’s requirements. Refer to the applicable aircraft maintenance manual(s) for the force requirements / limits for opening the tab. B. CLOSEOUT AND TESTING 1. Perform post installation check to verify the proper operation of the fuel filler cap. NOTE PERFORM ANY POST INSTALLATION ADJUSTMENT / TEST PROCEDURE FOR THE FUEL FILLER CAP AND FUEL SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANUAL AS REQURIED 2.
