Inspection Requirements

The service bulletin specifies that inspections of the turbocharger system must be conducted every 25 hours of operation. This includes checking elbows and the turbo adapter for cracks, as well as verifying that the turbo adapter maintains a minimum wall thickness of .075 inches. Any components found to be below this specification must be replaced.

Component Inspection

Operators are instructed to inspect joints for freedom of movement and distortion, as well as to examine the tailpipe for thinning and internal corrosion. Additionally, the turbo header should be checked for internal pitting, warping, or cracking of the flow divider, and any thin sections should be noted.

Parts List

The document includes a detailed parts list for the exhaust system and engine mounts, providing part numbers and descriptions for various components such as risers, elbows, flanges, and gaskets. This list is crucial for maintenance personnel to ensure they have the correct parts for replacements.

Safety notes

  • Failure to perform required inspections may lead to engine failure.
  • Using components below specified thickness can compromise engine safety.
