Empty Weights and Moments
The document lists the empty weights and moments for six Beechcraft B19 Sport aircraft, with specific details for each serial number. For example, N2053L has an empty weight of 1,515 lbs and an empty moment of 167,079, while N23982 has an empty weight of 1,492.3 lbs and an empty moment of 166,548.
Fuel Capacity and Usable Quantities
Each Beechcraft B19 Sport fuel tank has a total capacity of 29.9 gallons. However, the usable fuel varies by aircraft. For N2053L and N2168W, the usable fuel amounts are 26 gallons when full, 16.1 gallons at the slot, and 11.1 gallons at the bottom of the tab. For N23982, N24020, N5137M, and N2012K, the usable amounts are slightly less, with a full capacity of 28.6 gallons.
Unusable Fuel Specifications
The document specifies the unusable fuel for each aircraft. For N2053L and N2168W, the unusable fuel is 7.8 gallons total (3.9 gallons per tank). For N23982, N24020, N5137M, and N2012K, the unusable fuel is 2.6 gallons total (1.3 gallons per tank). This information is crucial for accurate weight and balance calculations.
Weight Calculation for Pilots and Passengers
The document provides guidelines for calculating total weight and moment, including average weights for pilots and co-pilots (110 lbs each) and baggage (142 lbs). It notes that the seat position for pilots in certain aircraft can vary, affecting the total weight and moment.
Safety notes
- Ensure to factor unusable fuel into weight calculations.
- Use only usable fuel quantities for weight and balance calculations.

MAINE INSTRUMENT FLIGHT ________________________________________________________________Since 1946 WEIGHT & BALANCE INFORMATION-BEECHCRAFT SPORT Maine Instrument Flight has 6 Beechcraft Sport airplanes. Below you will find the empty weight and empty weight moment for each airplane as of October 9th, 2017. Each Sport fuel tank has a total capacity when full of 29.9 gallons, 20 gallons at the slot, and 15 gallons at the bottom of the tab. Please note, however, that the unusable fuel varies according to the aircraft serial number. Also, the unusable fuel in both tanks is already factored into the empty weight of the aircraft.
