1 Cessna 172 180 HP Performance Data Performance data information on the following pages are presented so that you may know what to expect from the airplane under various conditions. The data tables provided here are NOT FAA APPROVED and shall be used as a reference only information to facilitate the planning of flights with reasonable accuracy. 2 TAKEOFF DISTANCE MAXIMUM WEIGHT 2550 LBS SHORT FIELD 1. Prior to takeoff from fields above 3000 feet elevation, the mixture should be leaned to give maximum RPM in a full throttle, static run-up. 2. Decrease distances 10% for each 9 knots headwind. For operation with tailwinds up to 10 knots, increase distances by 10% for each 2 knots. 3. For operation on a dry, grass runway, increase distances by 15% of the "ground roll" figure. Decrease distances 10% for each 9 knots headwind. For operation with tailwinds up to 10 knots, increase distances by 10% for each 2 knots. 2. For operation on a dry, grass runway, increase distances by 45% of the "ground roll" figure. 3.
