Only a Cessna 180 (A-H,J,K) Skywagon with floats and with the Hartzell PHC-(C,G)3YF-1RF/F7691( ) aluminum hub propeller installed in accordance with Hartzell Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SA00852AT or SA09025SC are eligible for the special pricing provided in this Alert Service Bulletin. (1) The PHC-(C,G)3YF-1RF/F7691( ) propeller must be returned to Hartzell Propeller Inc. (2) Supplemental Type Certificate SA00852AT was previously distributed through Bonaire Aviation Company. B. Special pricing is available until May 31, 2009. 3. Description A. Hartzell Alert Service Bulletin HC-ASB-61-303 requires replacement of the currently installed PHC-(C,G)3YF-1RF/F7691( ) propeller assembly with a PHC-(C,G)3YF-1RF/F8468A-6R propeller assembly, when installed on a Cessna 180 (A-H,J,K) aircraft with floats. B. Hartzell will provide special pricing for a PHC-C3YF-1RF/F8468A-6R propeller assembly. NOTE: Hartzell will provide the PHC-C3YF-1RF/F8468A-6R for the special pricing program. Hartzell has a worldwide network of Recommended Repair Facilities that are approved by Hartzell for overhaul and repair of Hartzell propellers. B. Each facility must meet the standard FAA requirements and the additional Hartzell requirements before being approved by Hartzell. Each facility is audited by Hartzell to verify the continuation of the standards. C. Hartzell recommends that you use one of these facilities when purchasing a new propeller or having your propeller overhauled or repaired. D. Refer to Table 1 for a list of Recommended Repair Facilities. This list is also available on the Hartzell website at www.hartzellprop.com/Product Support/ Worldwide Network. 5. Special Pricing Program A. Hartzell PHC-(C,G)3YF-1RF/F7691( ) propellers installed on Cessna 180 (A-H,J,K) with floats are affected by this Alert Service Bulletin. (1) Hartzell will provide a PHC-C3YF-1RF/F8468A-6R propeller assembly for $6,900.00 USD. Special pricing is available until May 31, 2009. NOTE 1: List price for the F8468A-6R blades is $3,126.00 USD per blade. List price for a PHC-C3YF-1RF/F8468A-6R propeller assembly is $13,196.00 USD. NOTE 2: The currently installed spinner assembly may be retained by the owner for use with the PHC-C3YF-1RF/F8468A-6R propeller assembly. (2) Hartzell will provide a copy of the Supplemental Type Certificate SA00852AT. NOTE 1: STC SA09025SC has been replaced by STC SA00852AT. NOTE 2: Hartzell STC's SA00852AT has been amended to permit the installation of Hartzell propeller model PHC-(C,G)3YF-1RF/F8468A-6R on a Cessna 180 (A-H,J,K) aircraft equipped with floats.
