Applicability
The Airworthiness Directive applies to Cessna 208 aircraft with serial numbers ranging from 20800001 to 20800415 and 20800417 to 20800419. It also applies to Cessna 208B aircraft with serial numbers 208B0001 to 208B1081, 208B1083 to 208B1215, 208B1217 to 208B1257, 208B1259 to 208B1305, 208B1307, and 208B1309 to 208B1310.
Requirement
The directive requires the modification of the aileron carry-through cable attachment to the aileron upper quadrant using parts of improved design. This modification must be performed in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions detailed in Cessna Caravan Service Bulletin CAB08-6, dated 27 October 2008, or any later FAA approved revision.
Compliance
Compliance with the directive is required within 100 hours of time in service or within 6 months after the effective date of the directive, which is 7 May 2009, whichever occurs first.

COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES Page 1 of 1 AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section. Cessna 208 Series Aeroplanes AD/CESSNA 208/25 Aileron Upper Quadrant Carry-Through Cable Attachment 5/2009 Applicability: Model 208 aircraft, serial numbers 20800001 through 20800415 and 20800417 through 20800419. Model 208B aircraft, serial numbers 208B0001 through 208B1081, 208B1083 through 208B1215, 208B1217 through 208B1257, 208B1259 through 208B1305, 208B1307, and 208B1309 through 208B1310.
