Specifics: This STC provides for the installation of a Concorde RG24-15M valve regulated sealed lead acid (VRSLA) battery in place of the original equipment lead acid main battery. The Concorde RG24-15M is a direct fit replacement for the OEM battery, Cirrus Part Number 53030-001. Installation of the RG24-15M will fulfill guidelines provided in the Cirrus AFM Supplement covering compliance with 14 CFR 135.163(f) that requires a 13.6 ampere hour battery for part 135 operators. Main Battery: 1) Remove existing Main battery in accordance with (IAW) the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM). 2) Install the Concorde replacement battery IAW the AMM. 3) Update the aircraft weight & balance by subtracting the weight of the existing battery (26.5LB) and adding the weight of the new Concorde replacement battery (29.5LB). 4) Insert the appropriate Concorde FAA approved Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) in the appropriate location in the AMM. 5) Complete the appropriate form(s) to return the aircraft to service. STC is paperwork only, no kit is provided.
