Power Plant
The DA62 MPP is equipped with two Austro Engine AE 330 turbocharged common-rail injected engines, each producing 180 HP. The engine system features an EECU single lever control for ease of operation. The aircraft uses a 3-blade constant speed propeller, specifically the MT propeller MTV-6-R-C-F/CF 194-80.
Performance Specifications
The aircraft has a maximum take-off mass (MTOM) of 5,203 lbs (2,360 kg) and an empty mass of 3,803 lbs (1,725 kg), allowing for a payload of 1,268 lbs (575 kg). It achieves a maximum cruise speed of 192 KTAS (356 km/h) at a certified service ceiling of 20,000 ft (6,096 m). The minimum operations speed is 76 KIAS (140 km/h), with a maximum range of 1,264 nautical miles (2,341 km) at 50% power.
Fuel Capacity and Efficiency
The DA62 MPP has a fuel tank capacity of 86 US gallons (326 liters) and operates on various fuel grades including Jet A-1 and JP-8. At 55% power, the aircraft consumes approximately 11 US gallons per hour, contributing to its low operating costs.
Take-Off and Landing Distances
For take-off, the DA62 MPP requires a distance of 2,897 ft (833 m) to clear a 50 ft obstacle under ISA conditions. The landing distance under similar conditions is 2,556 ft (779 m), making it suitable for a variety of operational environments.
