Thereafter the SB must be done within the next 500 FH from release of this service bulletin. Its accomplishment is therefore recommended for the next A-check. AMM JIC Chapter 00, in particular: 00-30-10 General Maintenance Practices 00-30-27 Safety Precautions Flight Control 00-30-29 Safety Precautions Hydraulic System NOTE: Modification of the L/H side is described, the R/H side is similar and both sides must be modified. A Preparation 1) Make the aircraft safe for maintenance, refer to AMM JIC 00-30-01-500. 2) Make sure the flaps are fully extended and the flap control lever is set to the corresponding position. 3) To make sure that the flaps cannot move open circuit breaker: FIN: 1CG; LABEL: FLAPS; PANEL: 12VE/B13 4) Depressurize the hydraulic system, refer to AMM-JIC 29-00-00-910. 5) Put a warning notice into the flight compartment to tell persons a) Not to operate the flight controls. b) Not to pressurize the hydraulic system. 6) Remove access panels 414-DL and/or 414-ER (Nacelle L/H) and 424-DL and/or 424- ER (Nacelle R/H), refer to AMM JIC 06-40-02-500. 7) Clean modification area as required, refer to SRM 51-21-00. Page 4 of 7 SB-328-57-239 Rev. 1 B Modification CAUTION: Obey the following SRM chapters: 51-40-10 Drill and hole data 51-41-20 Rivet installation and removal - metal structure 51-90-00 Surface protection NOTE: Protect area from foreign objects during modification. 1) Position drilling jig P/N 001U575A0600 on bottom side of flap arm 2, refer to fig.1 and fig. 2. 2) Drill fastener holes dia 3,1mm (0.125 in.) and then enlarge to 4,1mm (0.1633 in.). 3) Remove drilling jig. 4) Install the Hi-Lok fasteners (item no. 1 and 2) according to the SRM. 5) Renew surface protection according to the SRM. C Close-up 1) Make sure the inspection area is clean and clear of any tools or other unwanted items. 2) Re-apply corrosion inhibiting compound as necessary, refer to SRM 51-74-20. 3) Close all removed access panels, 414-DL and/or 414-ER (Nacelle L/H) and 424-DL and/or 424-ER (Nacelle R/H). 4) Remove the warning notice from the flight deck. 5) Close the circuit breaker 1CG. 6) Return the aircraft to a serviceable condition. 328 Support Services GmbH Customer Support  Global Support Centre P.
