Refer to AMM JIC Chapter 00, in particular: 00-30-10 General Maintenance Practices 00-30-28 Maintenance Practices Fuel System NOTE: Obey AMM JIC 20-28-00-910 Aircraft Electrical Bonding – Maintenance Practices NOTE: Obey SRM Chapter 51-22-00 Sealing – General NOTE: Obey SRM Chapter 51-40-00 Fasteners NOTE: All connections where O-rings are necessary; used O-rings must be discarded and replaced by new O-rings before installation; make sure the O- rings are available (item 19, 20). NOTE: This procedure describes the modification of the left LH wing tank distribution system. Modification of the RH wing distribution system is the same unless otherwise stated. A Preparation NOTE: P/N of tubes and clamps which have to be removed may be different because of post SB-328-28-490 status. Refer to AIPC page 28-20-00-06 and 28-20- 00-07 for effectivity check. NOTE: Refer to Figure 2/ Figure 3 for part identification. NOTE: Do step 7) and 8) only when status of aircraft is post SB-328-28-490. 1) Make the aircraft safe for maintenance, refer to AMM JIC 00-30-01. 2) Defuel the aircraft, refer to AMM JIC 12-11-40-650. 3) Open/remove all doors, covers, panels, and removable fairings as necessary to get access to the modification area, refer to AMM JIC 06-40-02-020. 4) Remove the fuel jet pump. Refer to AMM JIC 28-21-04-020. 5) Remove tube assembly P/N 001A282A3190000. 6) Remove tube assembly P/N 001A282A3235000 (LH) & P/N 001A282A3235001 RH). B Modification NOTE: Refer to Figure 4 for part identification. NOTE: Do step 1) only when status of aircraft is post SB-328-28-490. 1) Install tube assembly (item 2) and attach with clamps (item 1). NOTE: Use clamp at inboard end to attach tube assembly (item 2). 2) On the workbench: Assemble clamps (item 8, 9) and grounding straps (item 10 - 12) to tubes (item 4, 5) and tube assembly (item 6, 7) with attachment material (item 13, 15, 16). 3) Insert spacer (item 3) to tube assembly (item 4) and install to connection part P/N 001A282A1020200. 4) Install fuel jet pump. Refer to AMM JIC 28-21-04-420-801. 5) Insert spacer (item 3) to tube assembly (item 5) and install to tube assembly (item 6 (LH)) / (item 7 (RH)). 6) Adjust clamps (item 8, 9) and grounding straps (item 10 - 12) and attach with attachment material (item 13 - 18). Refer to AMM JIC 20-28-00-910. CAUTION: Make sure that the grounding straps have no contact to adjacent structure or other parts of the fuel distribution system! Refer to Figure 6. Page 6 of 12 SB-328-28-553 Rev. 1 C Close-up 1) Do a foreign object inspection of the complete modification area. 2) Close/install all doors, covers, panels, and fairings opened/removed before, refer to AMM JIC 06-40-02-500. 3) Refuel the aircraft; refer to AMM JIC 12-11-10-650. 4) Do an engine ground run.
