EASA.21J.057. 1. CONCERNING TO: All airplanes SPORTSTAR RTC equipped with the Rotax 912 S engine. 2. REASON: The aircraft manufacturer introduced by an option design change installation of the TC1-9073-06-01 pulsation damper in the fuel system. By installing the pulsation damper, it is possible to reduce the contingent oscillation of fuel pressure below the lower limit (for more than 5 sec.). 3. REQUIRED ACTIONS: 1. Install the TC1-9073-06-01 pulsation damper to the fuel system. 2. Record the bulletin implementation in the Logbook. 4. LATEST DAY OF THE ACTION: As necessary. 5. CARRIED OUT BY: Organization with authorization for maintenance/repairs of this type of airplane in accordance with Part M or Part 145. 6. COSTS COVERED BY: Operator / owner of the airplane. 7. No. ERTC022-10-AS). 1.3.1.3 Cut off the cable ties securing the hose (2, Fig. 1) to the other parts. 1.3.1.4 Disconnect the hose (2) from the adapter (3). 1.3.1.5 Unscrew and remove the screw (7), sealing rings (6) and fitting (5) with hose from the block (8). 1.3.1.6 Remove the adapter (3) with the sealing ring (4) from the pump (1). 1.3.1.7 Use acetone to clean the thread hole on the pump (1) from adhesive residue. 1.3.1.8 Discard the removed parts (2; 3; 4; 5; 6). Letecká 1008, 686 04 Kunovice, Czech Republic QS-406/F-08I tel: +420 632 537 428 fax: +420 632 537 901 e-mail: evektor@evektor.cz https://www.evektor.cz page: 3/2 1 Engine fuel pump 5 Fitting 2 Hose 6 Sealing ring 3 Adapter 7 Screw fitting 4 Sealing ring 8 Fuel distribution block Fig. 1 – Hose removal 1.3.2 Install the hose with the pulsation damper between the fuel pump and the fuel distribution block: 1.3.1.1 Clean the thread of the nipple (4, Fig. 2) with acetone, fit the sealing ring (5) and apply Loctite 577 thread sealant to the nipple thread; screw the nipple (4) with sealing ring (5) into the pump. 1.3.1.2 Cut the supplied hose (2) into two parts so that one is approx. 100 mm long and the second approx. 200 mm long. 1.3.1.3 Cut the supplied pyrojacket (3) into two parts so that one is approx. 117 mm long and the second approx. 233 mm long. 1.3.1.4 Connect the hoses (2) on the necks of the damper (11); secure the hoses by the clamps (12) by means of pliers. Make sure that the damper and hoses are oriented correctly (see Fig. 2) Letecká 1008, 686 04 Kunovice, Czech Republic QS-406/F-08I tel: +420 632 537 428 fax: +420 632 537 901 e-mail: evektor@evektor.cz https://www.evektor.cz page: 4/2 1.3.1.5 Put on the appropriate parts of the pyrojacket (3) on both parts of the hose (2). 1.3.1.6 Connect the assembled hose with damper on the fitting neck (7); secure the hose by the clamp (6) by means of pliers. 1.3.1.7 Secure the ends of the pyrojackets (3) with a lockwire see Fig. 2). 1.3.1.8 Fasten the fitting (7) with the assembled hose to the block (10) using the screw (8) with sealing rings (9); tighten the screw with a torque 10 Nm. 1.3.1.9 Put on the pyrojacket (13) to the hose with the damper. 1.3.1.10 Connect the assembled hose with damper on the nipple neck (4); secure the hose by the clamp (6) by means of pliers. 1.3.1.11 Secure the ends of the pyrojacket (13) with a lockwire and fasten the hose with the damper to the other parts according to Fig. 3. 1.3.1.12 Do the engine check, check the fuel pressure and fuel system for leaks. 1.3.1.13 Install the engine cowlings according the procedure mentioned in the Airplane Maintenance Manual for SportStar RTC, Section 71-10 (doc. No. ERTC022-10-AS).
